Dancesport Taster Sessions

Step onto the Dance Floor – Free Dancesport Class Tasters!

Curious about ballroom dancing but have never tried it before? Or do you already love dancing and want to discover what Birkbeck Dancesport has to offer? Come along to our free taster sessions on Sunday the 18th of October, from 13:00–16:00, in room 305 Birkbeck Central!This is your chance to experience what a real Ballroom class is like, learn some of the basics, and get a glimpse of what happens on the dance floor. Leading the sessions are our fabulous teachers and coaches, Harley Nelson and Thomas Purdy, highly decorated National Ballroom Champions.

You don't need any previous experience, just bring yourself or join with a friend! You can join 1 or both classes. 

The sessions are completely free and everyone is welcome!

Schedule:

13:00–13:15 | Walk-in

Arrive, meet our members and teachers, and get ready to dance.

13:15–14:15 | Class Taster 1

Join a full taster class and experience what a typical Dancesport class is like.

14:15–14:45 | Demos & Break

Take a break and enjoy some dancing from our members and teachers. 

14:45–15:45 | Class Taster 2

Get back on the dance floor for the second class and try something new
