American Classic Film Noir Month:
On the 8th of November the Film Society will be screening Citizen Kane (1941), Orson Welles' masterpiece and one of the most celebrated films of all time. Follow the enigmatic life of Charles Foster Kane as he ascends from humble beginnings to immense wealth and power, all while grappling with love, ambition, and the meaning of “Rosebud.” Praised for its revolutionary cinematography, complex narrative structure, and exploration of ambition's dark side, Citizen Kane remains an enduring classic.
The screening begin shortly after 6:30pm on Friday 8th of November in MAL B35 (room 35 on the basement level of the main Birkbeck building on Malet Street). Tickets are free, and current students and alumni are welcome!
