American Classic Film Noir Month:
On the 22nd of November the Film Society will be diving deep into the psychological depths of Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958), a haunting exploration of obsession, identity, and illusion. James Stewart stars as Scottie, a retired detective suffering from acrophobia, investigating the strange activities of an old friend’s wife and becoming ensnared in a mysterious and haunting love affair that blurs the line between reality and fantasy.
The screening begin shortly after 6:30pm on Friday 22nd of November in MAL B35 (room 35 on the basement level of the main Birkbeck building on Malet Street). Tickets are free, and current students and alumni are welcome!
