With a selection of foods and drinks from across the world, you are invited to bring along a food item or beverage that represents your culture or nationality as we create a picnic that let's us travel the globe together.Grab a space as soon as possible for a great afternoon eating good food, playing games, and meeting new people!

Our friends in the International office will be running a special Welcome event tailored especially for international students who will be studying at Birkbeck this autumn, and it is right before the picnic! From 14:00 to 15:15, they cordially invite all international students to attend this exciting occasion. The event will commence with an opening address by Prof Kevin Ibeh, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at Birkbeck, University of London. Following that, Aura Ricco, our esteemed Counselling Service Manager, will deliver a talk on Culture Shock, providing valuable insights and guidance.

This event presents an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle with Birkbeck staff members and fellow students at the start of the academic year. Doors will open at 1:45pm, with the event officially commencing at 2pm. As there are limited places available, we encourage you to book early to secure your spot. Please be aware that photographs and footage may be captured during the event. These visual materials may be used by the University for marketing and promotional purposes, including our publications, website, social media platforms, and third-party publications.
